Red Chile and Honey Glazed Ham
Ingredients:
1 8-10lb. fully cooked spiral sliced ham
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup B's New Mexico Honey
1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
1 1/2 cups Hatch Chile Colorado
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275 degrees F
Place ham in a roasting pan with 1/4 cup of water. Cover with foil
Calculate your cooking time. Recommended cooking time should be 15-20 minutes per pound
Place the ham in the oven and bake
Make your glaze. Combine butter, honey, brown sugar and red chile in a small saucepan
Simmer, stirring frequently until thickened, 10-12 minutes
During the last 45 minutes of cooking, increase temperature to 350 degrees F and remove foil
Apply a layer of red chile glaze and return to oven. Glaze every 10 minutes until cooking time ends
Serve ham at room temperature
