Green Chile Tortillas
Ingredients:
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. lard
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 jar Santa Fe Ole Hatch Green Chile
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups water
Directions:
Whisk together dry ingredients.
Mix in lard, using your fingers to pinch evenly into mixture.
Should have the consistency of cornmeal.
Add water and green chile.
Mix together and knead into a firm dough.
Divide into equal pieces and roll into balls.
Use a well-floured rolling pin to roll each ball into a thin, round tortilla.
Heat a pan on the stovetop and cook ach side in butter until golden brown and bubbly.
Wrap in a towel to keep warm until serving.
