Lavender Poppyseed Muffins
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
4 tsp. poppy seeds
1 Tbsp. Frolicking Deer Culinary Lavender
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. lemon zest
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 Tbsp. coarse sugar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a large bowl, whisk the first 7 ingredients
In another bowl, whisk milk, butter and egg until blended. Add to flour mixture and stir until just moistened
Fill 12 paper lined muffin cups 3/4 full and sprinkle with coarse sugar
Bake 20-25 minutes, unitl a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
Cool 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack
